Hi folks! Welcome to 2008!

Here is some updated information for people who are interested in ordering Katamari-inspired crochet hats and dolls. Each one is 100% handmade from acrylic yarn in a smoke-free, pet-free and fragrance-free home. They are quite labour intensive, but I love to make them and the response from everyone who sees them is really quite overwhelming!

Cost:
Katamari hats - $55 USD
Katamari prince dolls and some cousins* - $65 USD
(There may be additional cost for cousins that are more difficult to construct, require additional matierials, etc.)

Due to the recent changes in the USD CAD exchange rates, I have had to adjust my prices accordingly. Thanks for your understanding.

Shipping for any single hat or doll- $15 USD to USA or Canada. Postage rates have gone up, and this is only a guess since I have not had to send any parcels yet this year. It may or may not include tracking. Combined shipping is possible for multiple items. International customers are welcome and will pay the actual shipping cost for airmail to their country.

Payment: Payment by PayPal is preferred and I will send you my information when the time comes. For those who don't know, PayPal.com is a service used to send money online without having to share your credit card number or financial information with the recipient. There is no charge to send money. I can also accept International Money Orders from USPS (the pink one). Please note that I will not start any work on your order until I receive at least half of the cost of your order (before shipping). Many customers have elected to keep things simpler and pay the whole thing in one shot.


Specific instructions for hats:
If you are interested in ordering a hat, please send me the colours you are interested in. Please try to be specific, as I will be trying to match available yarn to your preferences (eg. "powder blue" or "navy blue" instead of just "blue"). If you look at my gallery, you will see that most hats have a base colour, an accent colour and a neutral colour. (Or if you see one you like in the gallery, just say so!) My hats are crochet so they are fairly stretchy and will fit themselves to your head. But if you feel you have a larger or smaller than average sized head, I can adjust the size of the hat to fit you better. In this case, please send a measurement of the circumference of your head around the temple level.

Specific instructions for dolls: If you are ordering any of the cousins, please include an image (or link) of the cousin you are interested. While I'm a pretty big Katamari fan, there are lots of cousins and lots of variations in design between the games and I would like to make sure of what I am to be doing. Some cousins (eg. Foomin, Miso, Dipp) will require more work to construct or additional materials, which may mean an additional charge that I will tell you about when your order.
